Mathew Knowles, pai e ex-empresário da cantora Beyoncé, deu uma entrevista e disse que a briga entre sua filha Solange e o rapper Jay Z no elevador de um hotel em Nova York foi… uma jogada de marketing! É o patriarca que está falando.

O vazamento do vídeo na Internet se tornou viral e fez com que Beyoncé escrevesse um comunicado oficial, e que Solange postasse várias fotos de “família feliz” no Instagram. Mas o assunto voltou à tona nesta semana, com a passagem do Mathew Knowles pelo programa de rádio de Houston “Roula and Ryan Show”. Ele disse: “Precisavam de algo para botar fogo naquela turnê. Foi um truque. Tudo o que sei é que todos estão falando sobre isso. As vendas dos ingressos aumentaram, e as vendas do álbum da Solange saltaram 200%…”.

Só que Matthew, de repente, não é mais um parente tão confiável. Beyoncé o demitiu do cargo de empresário – alegando motivos pessoais – depois que ele teve um filho fora do casamento, e se divorciou de Tina Knowles. Apesar disso, o pai da cantora diz que ainda é empresário da Destiny’s Child (que não existe mais), e afirma que o grupo vai entrar em turnê no ano que vem. Então, tá.
